Mick Mackell

Mick has over 30 years' experience as a strength, conditioning and injury rehabilitation coach and Personal Fitness Trainer across a range of disciplines. This includes 10 years as the Head Trainer, Rehabilitation Officer and Boxing Coach for the Canberra Raiders 1st grade squad. 10 years as the Head fitness coach for the Australian Federal Police working with general population, new recruits and tactical operators. As well as being the Strength and Conditioning Coach for many sporting team including; Vikings Rugby Club, Brumbies 21's, U21's NSW State of Origin and U21's Australian Rugby League Team.

 

Jess smith

Jess has an extensive sporting background playing predominantly hockey since she was 5 years old. Jess has represented ACT in the Australian Hockey League. Before her transition to Canberra, she gained experience in running boot camps and endurance running programs. Her passion for team sport/training is what attracted Jess to the Den. The success of the Team (or pack) is best achieved through clear communication, positive support and out right effort, something Jess has been able to transfer from the sporting field into her professional working career. Jess will go to any length to ensure your training to your potential every session.

 

NICOLE WELLINGTON

Nicole is part owner and operator with Mick. Nicole is also incredibly passionate about supporting mental health particularly through regular exercise, in fact its why she embarked on her own fitness journey 8 years ago. She is a firm believer in exercising to enhance both body and mind! Nicole is dedicated to helping you achieve your fitness goals and will work tirelessly with you to achieve them. Nicole is passionate about educating members on their strength training, so they are able to well execute exercises to feel safe, strong and empowered. She enjoys coaching 20/10 sessions and getting that bit extra out of participants, just when they think they can't do anymore, just wait and see what she can do for you!
