Coaches
Coached, not supervised
Every session here is run by a coach who watches the technique, adjusts the load and knows your name. Six of them, on the floor, every day.

Mick Mackell, owner and head coach
More than 30 years as a strength, conditioning and injury rehabilitation coach, and the current strength and conditioning partner for the Canberra Capitals. Head Trainer of the Canberra Raiders for ten years. Head fitness coach for the Australian Federal Police for ten years. Strength and conditioning coach for the Australian Under 21s, the Brumbies, Vikings Rugby and state rugby league sides. He helped Nick Kyrgios rebuild strength and conditioning after injury and return to top-level competition, and Nick still trains at The Den.

Nicole Wellington, co-owner and coach
Eight years coaching, with a focus on mental wellbeing through movement. Nicole specialises in training women through life transitions, particularly peri- and post-menopause. Supportive and no-nonsense in the same breath: her sessions build strength, confidence and knowledge.
